Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of hybrid AWS and on-premise infrastructure.
• Drive DevOps best practices, technical standards, and infrastructure decisions across the team.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues while ensuring platform reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with management, development, and engineering teams, and mentor other DevOps engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles, with a strong record of technical leadership.
• Experience defining technical strategy and roadmaps for complex cloud or platform environments and aligning infrastructure decisions with business objectives.
• Experience leading technical discovery, assessing existing platforms, identifying operational risks, and translating business needs into improvement plans.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and Service Management practices, including incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
• Ability to advise clients and senior stakeholders on architecture, reliability, scalability, security, operational maturity, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience owning or influencing production platform reliability, change quality, risk management, and continuous service improvement.
• Ability to lead through influence, drive cross-team alignment, and establish engineering standards without formal authority.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
