Senior Java Backend Engineer (IoT)

Location: Allerød, Denmark; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Build the next generation of IoT eSIM support for the GSMA SGP.32 standard, enabling devices to switch network profiles remotely at scale.
• Develop AI-driven network analysis to identify connectivity issues and anomalies across devices and networks.
• Design and operate event-driven distributed systems using Kafka, processing continuous device and network events.
• Build REST APIs with OpenAPI and integrations with telecom operators and IoT device vendors using REST, SOAP, and proprietary protocols.
• Improve observability, automated system testing, CI/CD, and GitOps delivery.
• Participate in the rolling on-call rotation and support systems in production.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience building software with Java and Spring.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems.
• Fluent Danish and English, spoken and written.
• Pragmatic and open-minded approach to problem solving.
• Constructive approach to giving and receiving feedback, with an interest in contributing to technical decisions.
• Enjoyment of close collaboration and shipping in small, frequent iterations.
