(Senior) Operations Payment Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own daily reconciliation, SEPA payment processing, and liquidity management end to end.
• Ensure operational continuity and restore processes in the event of outages.
• Design scalable processes, identify optimization opportunities, prioritize improvements, and eliminate operational risks and control gaps.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor team members below your level while maintaining high execution standards.
• Evaluate complex cash transaction analyses and solution proposals, make fact-based decisions, and align stakeholders across seniority levels.
• Coordinate communication with trustees, central banks, service providers, and other external partners involved in liquidity management and SEPA payments.

Requirements

• Completed banking apprenticeship, Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent qualification.
• Multiple years of experience in financial services; experience in a bank’s middle or back office is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of payment and banking processes, including SEPA payments and account reconciliation, backend technologies, and external partner dependencies.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, evaluate results, make fact-based decisions, update stakeholders, and manage competing business-critical priorities.
• Composure in stressful, time-sensitive situations requiring a quick and diligent response.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent spoken and written English.
