Senior Associate, Direct Co-investments

Location: Singapore; hybrid work model with 4 days in the office per week and 5 additional remote days per quarter, subject to manager approval.

What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, and execute private equity co-investment opportunities across the Asia region through industry research, financial modeling, due diligence, and management team assessments.
• Prepare co-investment memoranda and present investment recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead and support negotiations and closing processes for new co-investments with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio co-investments, analyze performance, and support exit strategies when applicable.
• Contribute to client servicing, fundraising, and marketing activities while representing HarbourVest to external stakeholders.
• Train Associates and Analysts and support team development and collaboration.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, including 3+ years of buy-side investing experience.
• Experience evaluating, reviewing, and presenting private equity investment opportunities.
• Experience executing private equity co-investments, including due diligence and transaction execution.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights and advocate for investment ideas.
• Ability to lead due diligence processes and work independently or collaboratively.
• Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience.
