Intern, FI Lending (Banking and Finance)

ING operates a wholesale banking branch and Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, providing tailor-made financial solutions to corporate clients through international banking teams.

What you will do

• Prepare credit analyses and rating reviews for banks and non-bank financial institution clients in Asia.
• Support financial institution sector coverage teams with lending origination, facility execution, and new credit proposals and ratings.
• Contribute to portfolio management, including Customer Due Diligence and client monitoring.
• Prepare pipeline, transaction status, and portfolio communications for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other ING teams and support ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Be in the second to final year of an undergraduate degree and demonstrate an interest in banking and finance.
• Have a basic understanding of wholesale bank operations and business models.
• Be able to work within deadlines with limited supervision and demonstrate a high level of initiative.
• Be willing to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team and the bank.
• Communicate clearly in fluent spoken and written English.
• Be proficient in Excel, Word, Copilot, and PowerPoint.
