IA Engineer Consultant (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with 2 office days per week.

What you will do

• Analyse client needs, business objectives, KPIs, operational challenges, and organisational dynamics to identify tangible AI opportunities.
• Design evidence-based AI strategies and solutions with measurable business outcomes and credible implementation paths.
• Lead discovery workshops, AI strategy sessions, presentations, and executive discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advise on AI adoption, change management, operating models, processes, teams, and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with service line managers, solution architects, data specialists, and engineering teams on proposals, solution design, technical feasibility, and scalable AI architectures.
• Design and evaluate AI applications using RAG, AI agents, MCP ecosystems, enterprise knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, testing, governance, and evaluation frameworks; contribute to new offerings, accelerators, reusable assets, and internal initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong consulting mindset with the ability to understand business objectives, KPIs, operational challenges, and organisational dynamics.
• Experience identifying business opportunities for AI and translating them into practical, measurable solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to simplify technical concepts for executive audiences.
• Practical understanding of Claude Code, AI agents, MCP connectors, plugins, skills, orchestration layers, and agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering RAG-based solutions, including retrieval strategies, grounding techniques, vector databases, enterprise search, and knowledge management use cases.
• Experience with AI agents and multi-agent systems, including orchestration patterns, memory management, tool calling, and workflow automation.
• Experience assessing AI solution quality using Harness, LangSmith, Promptfoo, Humanloop, or equivalent evaluation platforms.
• Technical background sufficient to discuss enterprise architecture, integrations, APIs, security, data flows, and solution design at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of where AI creates value, where it fails, and how to balance business ambition with implementation reality.
• Native-level Dutch and fluent English.
