TL;DR
System Architect (Java/.NET, Cloud, AI): Governing and evolving NIT’s technology landscape across front-end and back-end platforms with an accent on architectural alignment, secure engineering, and tooling consistency. Focus on supporting squads through complex refactoring, driving CI/CD and observability practices, and evaluating agentic AI, cloud-native technologies, and next-generation security frameworks.

What you will do
- Govern and manage the NIT technology roadmap across front-end, back-end, cloud, observability, and CI/CD technologies.
- Define architectural best practices, coding standards, secure-by-design principles, integration guidelines, and cross-squad technical alignment.
- Support squads hands-on during sprints, including complex implementation, refactoring, and rework.
- Harmonize tooling and engineering processes, including GitHub workflows, Dynatrace, OpenShift, Azure, release management, and test automation integration.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Observability Centres of Excellence.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, drive proofs of concept and pilots, and introduce innovation in agentic AI, cloud-native development, and security.
Requirements
- Senior-level autonomy in at least one domain: Security, Cloud, AI, or Software Engineering, with the ability to grow into new domains.
- Strong background in Java and/or .NET, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, GitHub workflows, cloud platforms, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience with Angular, NodeJS, XHTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Java 8–21 and/or .NET, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful services, JSON, SOAP-WS, microservices design, and GoF or enterprise design patterns.
- Knowledge of UML, DDL/DML, SQL structures, Oracle including ExaCC, PostgreSQL, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA, SOAP-UI, Postman, GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Swagger/OpenAPI, JUnit, and Sonar.
- Knowledge of Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Azure.
- Ability to influence, guide, and collaborate with multiple squads, supported by excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Proactive, innovative, and forward-looking mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with Struts, JSF/JSP, and Mockito/WireMock test mocking.
- Experience with telecom industry technologies and knowledge of TM Forum standards.
