IT Solution Architect (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Design and deliver end-to-end IT solutions for large-scale projects.
• Work with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and create scalable, reliable solutions.
• Ensure security, high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and resilience standards are met.
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
• Develop prototypes and Proofs of Concept to support implementation.
• Coach and mentor technical teams and drive solutions through to completion.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Solution Architect and 10 years of overall IT experience.
• Financial Services experience.
• Strong experience designing end-to-end solutions for large-scale IT projects.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, security, performance, and resilience.
• Experience modernising legacy or monolithic applications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Hands-on experience developing prototypes or Proofs of Concept.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience coaching and mentoring technical teams and driving solutions through to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft technologies, cloud computing, API architecture, and event-driven architecture.
