Buyer I - Integrated Supply

What you will do

• Perform procurement activities for stock, non-stock, and spot-buy products and materials in line with customer demand and purchasing strategies.
• Review inventory forecasts and daily replenishment recommendations, and assess orders for expediting or de-expediting.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders, follow up on delivery status, and communicate order updates to customers.
• Research and recommend vendors and products based on quality, pricing, delivery, and specification requirements.
• Monitor product quality and delivery timeliness, coordinate returns and replacement items, and resolve supplier issues including accounts payable nonconformance.
• Maintain supplier and customer relationships, identify and document cost savings, produce customer KPI data, and follow hirify.global and customer procedures and LEAN practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of procurement experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Computer skills and the ability to learn ERP and inventory management applications.
• Basic mathematical aptitude, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and organizational and execution skills.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work for extended periods on a computer, perform repetitive keyboarding, and occasionally stand, walk, or lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with possible exposure to dirt, smoke, heat, and cold; comply with customer safety protocols and work overtime with little advance notice when required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business or Finance.
• CPM certification.
