Staff, Technical Program Manager

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; an additional position location is Bentonville, Arkansas, United States. Onsite home-office role.

Annual salary: $143,000–$286,000 in Sunnyvale, California; $110,000–$220,000 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Additional performance bonuses and, for certain positions, stock may apply.

What you will do

• Define goals, deliverables, schedules, and critical paths for complex programs aligned with strategic priorities.
• Secure cross-functional commitments, coordinate dependencies, and manage risks, milestones, budgets, quality metrics, and execution.
• Clarify requirements and translate product needs into scalable and secure technical solutions.
• Provide technical oversight across architecture, tradeoffs, SRE practices, observability, monitoring, and resiliency planning.
• Resolve ambiguity, remove blockers, align stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts through executive-ready reporting and presentations.
• Use data to measure program success, generate insights, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related area and 5 years of experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or a related area; alternatively, 7 years of relevant experience without the degree requirement.
• Experience planning, executing, and mitigating risks for medium- to high-complexity initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including coordinating cross-functional dependencies and building relationships.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodology, system design concepts, APIs, cloud computing, and hardware/software lifecycles, including end-of-life, upgrades, and migrations.
• Ability to analyze data and use fact-finding techniques to improve processes and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing team members while promoting ethical standards and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Project Management certification.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or a related area, plus 3 years of experience in product design.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
