Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, Washington, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Austin, or New York City, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and the position may require obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance and working in a classified environment.

Salary: $80,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity grant and benefits.

What you will do

• Contribute to the Navigator Vue-based frontend application by building reusable visual components and page layouts integrated with documented API endpoints.
• Modularize and improve the visual design library, including shared primitives, CSS tokens, and icon assets.
• Support offline Progressive Web App mode for disconnected operations and ensure a consistent experience on desktop and iPad.
• Define frontend best practices, improve CI/CD workflows, and maintain well-tested, production-ready code with a focus on Developer Experience.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering teams on rapid feature development and API troubleshooting.
• Balance scoped UX delivery with pixel-perfect implementation of designs while considering usability, performance, and real-world constraints.

Requirements

• Senior-level frontend software engineering experience and strong frontend focus with enough full-stack understanding to assess architectural tradeoffs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, growth mindset, and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Familiarity with HTTP request codes, RESTful APIs, high-uptime and low-latency web applications, and troubleshooting CORS issues.
• Experience testing API requests with Postman or Insomnia and working with frontend testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, or Vitest.
• Ability to troubleshoot and test newly added API endpoints and produce clear technical documentation or weekly work demos.
• U.S. citizenship is required; proof of citizenship is required before employment if selected.
