AI-first Development Manager

Location: Remote in Canada or the United States

Salary: Canada: $158,400–$247,500 CAD; United States: $168,000–$262,500 USD, plus equity through the JSOP

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of developers through technical and professional coaching.
• Remain hands-on by reviewing architecture, pairing, writing and reviewing code, and shipping alongside the team.
• Own clinic activation outcomes in partnership with product, design, and data teams.
• Shape the AI-driven onboarding direction, including problem framing, prioritization, and infrastructure needs.
• Establish small weekly releases, instrumentation, and experiments that generate actionable learning.
• Partner with hirify.global AI and other core product teams to create a connected clinic experience and promote responsible AI adoption.

Requirements

• Started as a hands-on software developer and progressed into people management of a development team.
• Still writes and reviews code, evaluates architectural tradeoffs, and guides technical direction with senior and staff developers.
• Experience working on a growth or product-led growth team and owning an outcome such as activation or conversion, including a period when shipped work did not improve the metric.
• Experience taking an AI product from idea through customer adoption and revenue, with a clear perspective on where AI created value and where it did not.
• Knowledge of effective instrumentation and properly run experiments, including recognizing when results are not yet sufficient.
• Strong coaching ability with examples of helping team members grow.
• Willingness to initiate conversations, express opinions, and remain open to being wrong.

• Experience in healthcare or vertical SaaS.
