Infrastructure Systems Engineer (Windows)

Location: Hybrid role with regular onsite presence at the Chandler, Arizona facility; primary location listed as Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

Annual salary: $100,550–$194,270 USD.

What you will do

• Lead the lifecycle management of Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, and future Windows Server platforms, including deployment, configuration, patching, hardening, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Design, implement, and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, IIS, .NET application hosting, Windows Failover Clustering, and Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, and Bash for provisioning, compliance, patch management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Support Windows workloads on VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, and cloud-hosted environments, as well as RHEL deployment, patching, troubleshooting, security maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Implement security controls, monitor infrastructure health, tune performance, troubleshoot complex platform issues, and perform root-cause analysis for production incidents.
• Collaborate with network, storage, security, platform engineering, and software engineering teams while maintaining architecture standards, procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, and enterprise Microsoft infrastructure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, IIS, Windows authentication, and Microsoft security technologies.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience, with familiarity in Python and Bash.
• Experience supporting highly available, large-scale Windows environments in virtualized and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
• Working knowledge of Linux administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Knowledge of Windows security, patch management, system hardening, identity management, and compliance best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of Windows infrastructure engineering experience.
• 1+ years of Linux administration experience, preferably RHEL.
• Experience with VMware, OpenShift Virtualization, or hybrid cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Ansible, PowerShell DSC, or similar automation and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and Microsoft Security Baselines.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
