Systems Security Engineer Intern (Aerospace)

Location: In office, Hagerstown, Maryland, United States

Estimated starting salary range: $21.40–$29.43 per hour.

What you will do

• Participate in technical projects and complete assigned tasks supporting team objectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
• Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements, timelines, and team goals.
• Perform hands-on technical assignments, collaborate with team members, and apply guidance from experienced professionals.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support best-practice implementation through workshops and project activities.

Requirements

• Current sophomore, junior, or senior standing in college or technical school, with at least six months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
• U.S. citizenship is required because employment requires an active U.S. Security Clearance.
• Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance; non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Access skills.
• Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related discipline.
