IT Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Own employee onboarding, role changes, and offboarding, including equipment, accounts, group memberships, application access, communication, and exception handling.
• Build and maintain SCIM provisioning, SSO, attribute-mapping, and role-based-access integrations across HR, identity, collaboration, and business applications.
• Investigate failed synchronizations, account mismatches, credential issues, licensing blockers, authentication failures, and other integration problems.
• Automate repetitive IT work with native integrations, workflow tools, APIs, webhooks, and practical scripting; document and monitor maintainable workflows.
• Support employees with access, laptops, collaboration tools, and office technology while managing the macOS device lifecycle, inventory, security updates, replacements, and returns.
• Operate IT security and compliance controls, support access reviews and security response, maintain SOC 2 evidence, and build scalable runbooks, self-service guidance, and application ownership records.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in corporate IT, IT systems engineering, or SaaS administration, or equivalent hands-on experience owning and improving systems.
• Hands-on SCIM and identity lifecycle experience, including implementing or repairing provisioning and deprovisioning integrations.
• Experience with SSO and modern identity standards, including SAML and OAuth/OIDC, plus group-based access, MFA, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Experience connecting HR systems, identity providers, collaboration suites, and business applications; experience with Rippling and Google Workspace or comparable platforms is relevant.
• Ability to read API documentation, investigate logs, and write or adapt scripts to solve operational problems beyond an administration interface.
• Practical experience with endpoint management and laptop deployment, especially macOS, together with security and asset-management practices.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or a comparable security compliance program, including operating IT controls, collecting audit evidence, completing access reviews, and resolving findings.
• Service-minded approach with responsive communication, careful handling of sensitive information, clear explanations, and reliable follow-through.
• Comfort working in a rapidly growing company with changing priorities and balancing immediate employee support with long-term fixes.

Nice to have

• Experience improving onboarding during rapid hiring or supporting employees across multiple offices.
• Experience with compliance automation platforms, automated evidence collection, and SaaS license management.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools and secure integrations to improve IT operations, with sound judgment around permissions and employee data.
