Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test (Performance Engineering)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable performance-testing frameworks and automated benchmarking suites for distributed cloud-computing platforms.
• Design and execute automated regression, load, stress, and performance tests for software, infrastructure, and newly onboarded server hardware.
• Establish performance baselines, hardware-validation standards, acceptance criteria, and thresholds for worldwide compute-fleet implementations.
• Monitor SLAs, latency targets, system throughput, and infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks and maintain platform reliability.
• Build, scale, and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for test execution, regression testing, and performance gating.
• Collaborate with software developers, SREs, and datacenter teams to improve testing architectures and resolve performance issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of high-level hardware and software performance objectives.
• Experience using data-analysis techniques to process complex performance telemetry, build predictive capacity models, and publish actionable technical insights.
• Expertise in Python and experience with Go, Linux/Bash scripting, system tools, and backend automation test suites.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps integrations with Jenkins, including advanced Git workflows.
• Extensive practical expertise with Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience using AI to accelerate development tasks.
