Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Python/Go)

Location: Remote in the Czech Republic or Poland; role location listed at Karla Englise 3201/6, Prague, Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Lead automated test strategies, framework architecture, and quality assurance for fleet software maintenance and hypervisor upgrades across ARM and x86 infrastructure.
• Design scalable automated test frameworks and harnesses for hypervisor upgrades, REST APIs, user interfaces, and system CLI tools.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, regression testing, and performance testing across infrastructure components.
• Automate functional, integration, performance, and resilience testing for virtual machine lifecycle operations and fleet-wide maintenance.
• Design SQL schema queries and state-tracking tests for relational databases, data integrity, hardware monitoring, and automated fallback processes.
• Collaborate with developers, SRE, and datacenter operations teams to assess architectures, improve test systems, and remove quality bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Expertise in software development, quality engineering, or backend automation, with formal education in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expertise in Python and experience with Go, Linux/Bash scripting, backend automation, system tools, and test suites.
• Expertise with Pytest, unittest, or nosetests, including modular and maintainable API, CLI, and end-to-end integration test harnesses.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps integrations using Jenkins or GitHub Actions, with advanced Git workflow expertise.
• Extensive practical expertise with Linux-based operating systems.
• Expertise in relational databases, SQL schema queries, state tracking, and analytical techniques for thorough data evaluation.
