Principal Software Development Engineer in Test Lead (Cloud Computing)

Location: Remote in the Czech Republic, Poland, or Spain; office address listed in Prague, Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable distributed testing frameworks and automated benchmarking tools for advanced cloud computing platforms.
• Define the technical vision, roadmap, best practices, performance criteria, SLAs, and latency targets for performance engineering and automated validation.
• Design, develop, maintain, scale, and optimize automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for regression and performance testing across hardware and software infrastructure.
• Resolve performance bottlenecks and establish hardware validation standards across global compute fleet deployments.
• Guide and mentor engineers while collaborating with developers, SRE, datacenter operations, and the Meerkat team.

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of high-level hardware and software performance objectives.
• Experience using data analysis techniques to process complex performance telemetry, build predictive capacity models, and publish actionable technical insights.
• Ability to analyze performance data within data science and turn it into actionable documents for the Compute team.
• Expertise in Python and experience with Go, Linux/Bash scripting for backend automation, system tools, and test suites.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps integration using Jenkins, plus advanced Git workflow expertise.
• Extensive practical expertise with Linux-based operating systems.

• Experience using AI to accelerate development tasks.
