Senior Server Tech Services Engineer

What you will do

• Resolve high-severity hardware and network issues across hirify.global's infrastructure.
• Report to and work closely with the cSTS team lead during critical maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with Network Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering teams to assess issues and initiate rapid workflows.
• Diagnose server hardware and network problems, including issues involving drives, RAM, motherboards, and RAID.
• Coordinate server repairs with ISP and Field Engineers and arrange the return of equipment to warehouses or vendors.
• Monitor hardware failure patterns and report trends to Hardware Engineering and external vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience diagnosing faults in network and server hardware technologies, including drives, RAM, motherboards, and RAID.
• Expert knowledge of Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting and the OSI Model.
• Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux CLI.
• Experience with data center technologies and infrastructure environment management.
• Solid analytical skills for systematically gathering information and resolving complex technical issues.
• Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, third-party service providers, and external vendors.
