Partner Integration Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States; may be based in office locations in Denver, Colorado, Huntersville, North Carolina, Rosemont, Illinois, or Las Vegas, Nevada. Occasional travel to Las Vegas and customer sites is required as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical contact for partners integrating claims submission for processing, underwriting, and funding.
• Lead technical discovery, define integration scope and approach, assess risks, and design practical solutions for partner systems and workflows.
• Translate between business and technical audiences while working through APIs, payloads, data mapping, authentication, error handling, timelines, and trade-offs.
• Investigate integration behavior using API calls, database queries, logs, and code review; validate data and integrations before go-live and support launch stabilization.
• Convert customer needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data flows, specifications, diagrams, and customer-facing documentation using AI-assisted tools.
• Coordinate product, engineering, underwriting, operations, and customer stakeholders through influence; maintain integration knowledge and recommend improvements to APIs, documentation, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, integration engineering, technical implementation, solutions architecture, or technical product ownership, including direct work with external customers or partners.
• Experience leading third-party integrations from discovery through production.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, authentication methods, JSON, XML, flat files, and integration patterns.
• SQL proficiency for data investigation, integration validation, and troubleshooting; working knowledge of software development sufficient to read application code and assess technical feasibility independently.
• Exceptional concise and structured communication skills, with the ability to adjust technical depth for executives, operations staff, and engineers.
• Experience writing technical requirements, specifications, and customer-facing documentation.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools such as Claude or equivalent agentic platforms for producing specifications, documentation, and diagrams.
• Strong self-organization, ability to manage multiple concurrent partner integrations, influence across teams without formal authority, and comfort with ambiguity and troubleshooting.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with claims, lending, underwriting, healthcare billing, or legal-tech data flows.
• Familiarity with X12 837/835, HL7, or FHIR healthcare and claims data standards.
• Experience with Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI for API testing and interaction.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, C#, .NET, Entity Framework, React, or Angular.
• Experience with the Anthropic API, Claude models, MCP, Claude Code, or equivalent agentic tools.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
