Youth Career Advisor

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States; work within Clark County and potentially at multiple locations.

Salary: $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Coach and mentor youth aged 16–24, helping them identify interests, strengths, career goals, and pathways into employment or higher education.
• Build one-on-one relationships, provide assessments and referrals, address employment barriers, and deliver ongoing case management and follow-up.
• Conduct orientations and facilitate introductory, weekly, professional development, and job-preparation workshops.
• Maintain client databases, case notes, enrollment records, contact documentation, attendance solutions, placement data, and project reports.
• Coordinate with schools, account managers, leadership, business services, and management to align workshops and training with available jobs and employer requirements.
• Support center operations, intake, compliance standards, process improvements, grant issuance, communications, and coverage as needed.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in career advisement and development, workshop facilitation, workforce curriculum development, public speaking, and content development.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Google Docs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and accurately document visits, contacts, enrollment, activities, and case notes.
• Strong telephone, computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives.
• Professional understanding of a wide range of occupations and career paths, ideally including healthcare careers.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, healthcare, or communications, or a combination of education and experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Flexibility to respond to contract or operational requirements.
