Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Engineer (Gas Turbines)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; based at the Montreal office. Support may be required for second-shift operations.

What you will do

• Assess non-conforming aero-derivative gas turbine components and develop technical engineering responses to Technical Liaison requests.
• Analyze technical data to identify, develop, and apply repair or acceptability solutions.
• Define, review, and release inspection criteria and acceptance limits for repair and overhaul engine manuals at component, sub-assembly, and complete-engine levels.
• Work with the MRO Center and Material Review Board to assess components and improve technical documentation.
• Coordinate suppliers, customers, senior management, research and development, and technical specialists including Stress, Design, Aerothermal, and Performance engineering.
• Lead solutions through final delivery, implement technical and workplace improvements, and develop cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Engineering degree and OIQ membership.
• At least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• Knowledge of gas turbines and/or industrial equipment, project management, and repair or manufacturing techniques.
• Good understanding of component definition drawings and their relationship to design intent in engine assemblies.
• Ability to read, speak, write, understand, and verbally express ideas and instructions in French.
• Fluency in English is required to understand international documentation and technical terminology and to communicate with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management.
• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• High autonomy and ability to self-manage priorities within team objectives to meet customer expectations.
• Flexibility in working hours because support may be required for second-shift operations.
