Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Brockville, Ontario, Canada; flexibility to work any shift is required. Travel may include up to 5% domestic or international travel. Relocation is not offered.

Expected compensation: CAD 86,344–113,975, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Ensure a safe working environment through inspections, audits, safety meetings, corrective actions, and proper work methods, procedures, and equipment.
• Investigate EHS and quality incidents, perform problem solving and root cause analysis, and ensure employees receive required training.
• Provide direct supervision, communication, and development for production and hourly employees.
• Plan priorities, allocate work, regulate production processes, and monitor production rates, yields, and product quality against daily requirements.
• Coordinate changeovers and resolve scheduling, quality, runtime, and other production issues to minimize downtime.
• Lead or participate in Kaizen and Lean Management initiatives, including process improvements, tier 1 and 2 processes, and cost-reduction programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or higher and at least five years of manufacturing experience, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least three years of manufacturing experience. Manufacturing experience may be from a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is mandatory.
• For Controlled Goods clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens normally residing in Canada or Permanent Residents normally residing in Canada.
• Valid and current identification, a residential address, and employment history for the past five years are required; an international criminal name check may be required for time spent outside Canada during the past five years.

Nice to have

• Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Experience participating in or leading Continuous Improvement projects.
• Strong people skills, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Desire and experience in leading change.
• Administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
