Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance at the NYC office 3+ days per week

Base salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Design and ship testable, production-grade agentic AI systems for enterprise-scale use.
• Serve as the lead individual contributor and technical standard-bearer for a growing backend AI team through coding, design reviews, and mentorship.
• Research emerging AI techniques and translate them into practical, reliable engineering practices.
• Extend and evolve backend services while keeping system complexity low and the codebase maintainable.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python and its ecosystem, including FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Hands-on AWS experience and strong systems design skills.
• Formal background in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to write elegant, well-tested code, with or without AI assistance.
• Ability to move quickly in ambiguous situations while communicating clearly.
• Ability and willingness to work in person at the New York City office 3+ days per week.
