Construction Engineer/Office Engineer (Highway/Structural)

Location: US | NJ | Parsippany - 6 Campus Drive; onsite work on highway and structural construction projects.

Base compensation: $95,200–$142,800 annually.

What you will do

• Perform contract documentation duties, including field measurements of pay items and daily inspection reports.
• Coordinate activities with onsite inspectors and report construction progress and problem areas to the Resident Engineer.
• Provide technical supervision and assistance to the Resident Engineer.
• Observe and document nonconformance situations and change-management events.
• Support additional construction management responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following requirements: NICET certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Construction, Level II or higher, with at least 2+ years of bridge/highway construction experience; or Engineer-in-Training certification with at least 2+ years of bridge/highway construction experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, data entry, and scheduling programs.
• Client-focused approach and commitment to providing effective client solutions.
• Strong commitment to innovation and developing better solutions to complex client challenges.
• High integrity and commitment to ethical, fair, and sustainable conduct.
• Demonstrated collaboration experience in a diverse and inclusive team focused on technical excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience working on high-speed roadways, setting up and removing work zones, and familiarity with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT).
• Experience working on NJ DOT, NJ Transit, NYS DOT, or similar agencies.
• ACI Certification.
• Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC) certification.
• OSHA 30 Hours certification.
• NJ SAT certification.
