Specialist Manufacturing Automation (Process Automation)

Location: West Point, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid work arrangement; domestic relocation; 10% travel; US and Puerto Rico residents only.

Salary: $87,300–$137,400 per year, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

hirify.global develops and supplies pharmaceutical and vaccine products, with this role supporting digital manufacturing operations at the West Point site.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot equipment and automation issues and improve manufacturing performance.
• Maintain automation systems through the full equipment lifecycle, from initial qualification through retirement, in compliance with cGMPs.
• Design and implement automation strategies and solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Build relationships with functional counterparts, business stakeholders, external customers, and vendors to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Implement and maintain SOPs and technical documentation, including change management, system problem management, and system performance monitoring.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma tools, problem solving, standardization, cycle-time reduction, and Lean process principles.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus at least 2 years of relevant manufacturing automation experience, or 4 years of relevant manufacturing automation experience with a High School Diploma.
• Strong technical writing capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues at all levels in a team environment and with external customers and vendors.

Nice to have

• Technical and operational expertise with DeltaV DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and CSV.
• Knowledge of the S88 Batch Standard and regulatory GxP requirements.
• Experience supporting process automation inquiries during internal and external audits and inspections.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing process experience.
• Knowledge of equipment and process validation.
