Senior Software Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build and scale AWS infrastructure and reusable platform abstractions, focusing on Amazon EKS, networking, and self-hosted services.
• Identify risks and implement solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Automate shard buildouts, implement Terraform guardrails, and develop hardened ingress.
• Scale multi-shard, multi-region systems while supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, disaster recovery, and enterprise security requirements.
• Partner with SRE, Security, product, AI, and enterprise teams to connect infrastructure and product engineering.
• Own Cloud Platform reliability through on-call, incident response, postmortems, runbooks, and prevention work; use AI tooling daily across development, testing, IaC, operations, and investigations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems focused on infrastructure and cloud, especially compute foundations.
• Deep hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production, including control-plane, node, and networking issues; Amazon EKS fleet-scale experience is preferred.
• Strong AWS experience with EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC networking, IAM, S3, and KMS.
• Experience with 20+ AWS accounts, including Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPC routing, DNS, and load balancing.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience at scale with Terraform.
• Fluent coding in at least one language; Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js are preferred.
• Experience with hybrid monolith/microservices architectures and operating data stores at scale, including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, and Redis/Valkey.
• Track record of improving infrastructure reliability and efficiency, implementing security guardrails, and debugging across application and infrastructure boundaries.
• Clear written communication, effective cross-functional collaboration, and daily AI use with concrete examples of improved engineering workflows.

• Experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Experience with AWS CDK.
