Senior Engineer, Cloud Operations (Contract Position)

What you will do

• Design, document, build, operate, and optimize highly available multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Own and evolve key components of the SaaS platform, including Kubernetes-based services and service mesh infrastructure.
• Manage and scale observability, monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, and centralized logging systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and manual workflows, then automate them into reliable and measurable systems.
• Improve cloud scalability, cost efficiency, platform stability, and operational processes.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and collaborate across teams on engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar cloud-focused roles.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale automated cloud systems across multiple regions and zones in AWS and GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including EKS or GKE, and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Strong experience with observability, centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and system administration.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Helm, Flux or ArgoCD, CI/CD tooling, and scripting with Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, distributed systems, high-availability design, query optimization, and debugging.
