PR & Communications Lead (AI)

Deploy is an AI intelligence infrastructure platform providing access to open-source and proprietary AI models, with optimized inference and solutions for content safety, deepfake detection, sponsorship intelligence, and IP and publicity protection.

What you will do

• Define and execute the strategic communications roadmap across media relations, press releases, thought leadership, and corporate messaging.
• Secure earned media opportunities and build relationships with business, technology, and AI-focused journalists and outlets.
• Write and edit press releases, media statements, blog posts, executive bylines, and other communications content.
• Partner with product, legal, engineering, HR, executives, and other stakeholders on messaging for launches, partnerships, events, milestones, and issues management.
• Monitor press coverage, industry trends, competitor narratives, and communications risks; report on press activity, share of voice, and impact metrics.
• Support internal communications, including executive messaging and all-hands updates, while protecting information assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field. Experience in fast-paced technology or AI-driven environments is preferred.
• Proven success securing high-quality media coverage and managing communications efforts end to end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts through clear, engaging narratives.
• Strong news judgment and understanding of media cycles, journalist priorities, and industry dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and strategically in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Comfort collaborating with executive stakeholders and representing the company externally with credibility and confidence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing circumstances, and deliver high-quality work on deadline.
• Strong attention to detail and a high editorial standard.

Nice to have

• Experience working with or managing PR agencies or freelancers.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies.
• Experience in crisis communications or issues management.
• Understanding of SEO, social media strategy, or content marketing.
• Experience providing media training for executives or spokespeople.
• Experience building communications functions from the ground up.
