People Operations Manager

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Base salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year; stock options may be offered in addition.

Deploy is an intelligence infrastructure platform providing optimized inference for open-source and proprietary AI models, including models for content safety, deepfake detection, sponsorship intelligence, and IP and publicity protection.

What you will do

• Act as a key point of contact between executive leadership and employees.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits and compensation administration, visa-related requests, payroll, time off, and performance management.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee office operations, including inventory, catering, trips, and budgeting.
• Build systems and initiatives supporting an inclusive, diverse, high-performing, and mission-driven workforce.
• Lead employee relations activities, internal audits, disciplinary meetings, engagement events, and information security and policy compliance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3–5 years of Human Resources or People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth technology company or startup.
• Experience building, maintaining, and presenting HR data analytics.
• High emotional and social intelligence, with experience fostering strong relationships with diverse groups of people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and dynamic priorities.
• Passion for people and how they work together to create a valuable organization.
