Product Manager, RNA NGS (open to Senior Product Manager)

Location: Boulder, Colorado preferred or remote; approximately 20% domestic and international travel. Applicants must be currently eligible to work in the United States and may be asked whether they require visa sponsorship.

Base compensation: $110,000–$130,000 plus bonus and equity; actual pay depends on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Own and champion the RNA NGS portfolio, supporting adjacent portfolios when needed.
• Develop product and application strategies through market assessments, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, business cases, roadmap prioritization, and lifecycle investment decisions.
• Translate customer and market needs into prioritized product requirements and partner with R&D on technical feasibility and product tradeoffs.
• Partner with Sales and customers to identify application needs, build collaborations, expand markets, and increase product adoption.
• Lead positioning, messaging, commercialization, sales enablement, pricing, documentation, training, and demand planning with Product Marketing and other functions.
• Lead cross-functional development and commercialization with R&D, Applications, Support, Sales, Quality, and Operations; monitor product performance, revenue, adoption, quality, risks, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Genomics, or a related scientific field.
• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience, including substantial hands-on experience with RNA sequencing or related transcriptomics workflows.
• Technical expertise in NGS workflows, including library preparation, sequencing, data interpretation, and core molecular biology techniques.
• Experience participating in or leading cross-functional new product development projects.
• Track record of defining and launching products, documenting customer and product requirements, and applying risk-informed decision-making within a quality management system.
• Ability to influence and gain consensus across cross-functional teams and work effectively with customers, development, and sales teams.
• Ability to present technical information to audiences with varied scientific backgrounds.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, task management, self-motivation, initiative, teamwork, multitasking, and ability to work independently under pressure and deadlines.
• Creative and critical thinking with the ability to solve complex problems and develop practical solutions within existing operational infrastructure, processes, and quality standards.
• Availability for approximately 20% domestic and international travel.

Nice to have

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Genomics, or a related scientific field.
• Product Management experience; relevant R&D, Applications, or other customer-facing technical experience may also be considered.
• Additional experience in product strategy, portfolio ownership, commercialization, and cross-functional leadership for consideration at the Senior Product Manager level.
