Senior Data Scientist (AI/ML)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually, with possible annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, validate, deploy, operationalize, and monitor AI/ML models across the full model development lifecycle.
• Plan, execute, and report on projects of diverse scope independently, with weekly manager check-ins.
• Support and guide junior colleagues, including serving as a team lead on shared projects.
• Propose solutions to business problems using limited information and existing precedent.
• Adapt, extend, and apply data science and AI approaches to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Learning Design, and User Experience to create learning experiences.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Conceptual knowledge of data science and AI gained through rigorous coursework and industry applications.
• Demonstrated ability to apply data science and AI knowledge to lead projects from start to finish.
• Production experience with machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and/or LLM systems.
• Ability to create efficient, scalable Python code.
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
• Authorization to work for any employer within the United States.
