Presales Solution Engineer (Edge AI)

Location: All Cities, California, United States of America; 50% travel

Salary: $192,550–$284,000 USD annually, with an 80% salary / 20% incentive mix; additional bonuses and/or equity for United States candidates

What you will do

• Partner with customers, account teams, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to discover challenges, requirements, workloads, infrastructure, data environments, and desired outcomes.
• Design end-to-end Edge AI and advanced compute architectures using CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, accelerators, inference, computer vision, containers, orchestration, networking, security, device management, and cloud or hybrid-cloud integration.
• Own the technical execution of customer proofs of concept, pilots, and solution validations, including configuration, integration, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, success criteria, timelines, and exit criteria.
• Move successful POCs into production by planning infrastructure, security, integration, operational readiness, support, monitoring, deployment, and scaling.
• Provide technical leadership in customer workshops, architecture sessions, executive briefings, demonstrations, RFP responses, and solution presentations; develop bills of materials, proposals, and architecture documentation.
• Build reusable architectures, reference designs, demos, POC frameworks, deployment methodologies, and technical patterns while sharing engagement insights with product, engineering, services, and practice teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technical presales, forward deployment engineering, solution engineering or architecture, AI infrastructure, advanced compute, or a related discipline, with strong experience in at least one area.
• Experience designing and deploying AI, Edge AI, computer vision, advanced compute, or accelerated computing solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of GPUs, CPUs, NPUs, accelerators, containers, networking, storage, and hybrid-cloud technologies.
• Experience taking technical solutions from POC or pilot into production environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, application, and integration challenges.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, security, scalability, manageability, and production operational requirements.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and technical capabilities into business outcomes.
• Strong customer-facing presentation, communication, and technical storytelling skills.
• Ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, product management, services, partners, and customer organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI inference and Edge AI frameworks.
• Experience with NVIDIA and other accelerated-compute ecosystems.
• Knowledge of computer vision, video analytics, generative AI, and AI inference workloads.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, APIs, and modern application architectures.
• Experience working with ISVs and technology ecosystem partners.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers in retail, manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, public sector, or other Edge AI-intensive industries.
• Experience developing production reference architectures and repeatable solution patterns.
