Structural Calculation Engineer

Location: Finspång, Östergötland County, Sweden; hybrid remote/office work.

What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate finite element models for the static capacity, stiffness, stability, and fatigue of structures.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to develop cost-effective solutions for customer projects.
• Develop and maintain proprietary scripts in Python and MATLAB to streamline calculations and create new working methods.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to onshore and offshore energy projects and support the development of new strength-analysis methods.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve technical challenges.
• Experience with the Finite Element Method and creating simulation models.
• Hands-on experience with Abaqus, HyperWorks, Ansa, or Ansys.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on structural analysis and strength.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate with internal teams and customers, stay organized, and deliver projects on time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python.
