Mechanical Engineer (Product Development)

Location: Lund, Sweden; on-site.

What you will do

• Develop mechanical products for body-worn cameras, video recorders, microphone products, and other system devices.
• Drive mechanical development from concept studies through mass production in cross-functional projects lasting approximately 6 months to 2 years.
• Design products, create prototypes, communicate with suppliers, verify products, and prepare designs for mass production.
• Work closely with electronics, firmware, quality, testing, production, purchasing, product managers, project leaders, and other engineers.
• Collaborate with suppliers around the world to optimize production designs across large and small projects.

Requirements

• Team-oriented, positive, considerate, and comfortable working collaboratively on technical challenges.
• Passion for product development from the first idea through the finished product, with an interest in challenging established approaches and developing innovative products.
• Knowledge of at least one 3D CAD system, preferably Creo.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written.
• Experience or a strong interest in prototype creation, mechanical design, electromechanics, and different manufacturing methods.

Nice to have

• Windchill and Creo knowledge.
• Experience with injection molding, die casting, or sheet metal.
• Experience with design for production.
• Product development experience in telecommunications, including 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, or GPS.
