Product Manager, Deploy Data (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Base salary: $120,000–$170,000 annually; stock options may be offered in addition.

Deploy is an AI infrastructure platform providing optimized inference for open-source and proprietary models, including models for content safety, deepfake detection, sponsorship intelligence, and IP and publicity protection.

What you will do

• Oversee product execution from inception through delivery and iteration for data labeling services and tools.
• Understand enterprise customer needs and translate them into product requirements, concepts, specifications, tickets, and product copy.
• Coordinate engineers, designers, sales, leadership, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver projects and features.
• Estimate and decompose complex projects, create delivery plans, track progress, resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and manage trade-offs.
• Communicate plans, status, risks, and mitigations; escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure.
• Measure engineering velocity, improve delivery speed and security, maintain data-handling best practices, and report suspected security or policy violations.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree, preferably in computer science or a related technical field.
• Track record of building web products, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Technical experience with data, analytics, design, or engineering, plus sufficient technical depth to understand architectural and product trade-offs.
• Strong quantitative background for data-informed decision-making.
• Experience working with engineering, design, and customers in enterprise software or related technical fields.
• Experience leading a team and implementing team goals and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and hands-on, with exceptionally clear and precise communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay on track with minimal supervision, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to operate in a constantly changing, uncertain, and occasionally chaotic environment; turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans; and drive continuous product improvement.
