Associate Manager - Operations (Logistics)

What you will do

• Supervise daily team activities, manage staff workload, and monitor individual and team performance against daily goals.
• Manage spot transportation movements, profitable coverage opportunities, revenue generation, and network utilization.
• Oversee EDI connectivity and document exchange to maintain seamless information flow across systems.
• Act as the first escalation point for clients and carriers, resolving issues and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
• Develop carrier and internal performance reports, monitor operational KPIs, and implement targeted improvements that eliminate bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain processes, contingency plans, corrective actions, carrier and customer relationships, and participate in or lead carrier negotiations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of logistics experience with increasing responsibility and experience in the freight industry.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
• Customer focus, service orientation, and a commitment to exceptional service for internal and external customers.
• Time-management skills for self and others, strong negotiation skills, and excellent people, communication, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and pursue objectives with little to no supervision.
• Forward-thinking approach and ability to envision and implement new concepts and strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
