Protective Intelligence Director

Location: Remote within Chicago, IL or New York, NY

What you will do

• Monitor, triage, and remediate digital-risk alerts, online impersonation, and brand abuse.
• Assess and manage threat cases involving executives and their families.
• Determine executive-protection coverage and assess travel-related security risks, including international travel.
• Conduct risk assessments for residential security, company offices, hosted events, and public appearances.
• Build law-enforcement relationships and coordinate with Legal before engagement.
• Manage digital-risk monitoring vendors, program budgets, documentation, executive briefings, and leadership reporting.

Requirements

• Background in corporate security, executive protection, protective intelligence, or law-enforcement/federal investigative work.
• Ability to act as the single point of accountability and make sound judgments with sensitive personal information about executives and their families.
• Ability to work directly and credibly with senior leaders and their support staff without an intermediary layer.
• Availability for time-sensitive escalations outside standard hours as the primary after-hours escalation contact, with backup coverage from Risk leadership.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OSINT research and digital-risk monitoring tools.
• Experience building relationships with law enforcement or performing government liaison work.
