Manufacturing Operations Manager Day Shift - Advanced Packaging (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Chandler/Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Day shift 7: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Thursday–Saturday plus alternating Wednesdays.

Annual salary: $89,010–$170,630 USD.

What you will do

• Lead, schedule, assign, rotate, and develop a shift team of technical equipment technicians.
• Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and stability.
• Own shift safety, quality, cost, and output metrics and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or Model-Based Problem Solving.
• Establish, evaluate, and execute technical training plans aligned with manufacturing roadmap requirements.
• Partner with Module Engineering to resolve systemic hardware faults, improve tooling, and stabilize manufacturing processes.
• Enforce hirify.global safety guidelines, factory protocols, and operational policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably Engineering, plus 3+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or military technical environment or relevant experience; OR a master’s degree in a STEM field plus 2+ years of such experience.
• Experience troubleshooting or supervising repairs of complex electromechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic manufacturing equipment.
• Experience managing, writing, or executing technical training plans for industrial technician teams.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Model-Based Problem Solving to improve yield or tool stability.
• Dynamic leadership, coaching, and motivation skills for high-performing technical teams.
• Logical, data-driven problem-solving skills for complex manufacturing bottlenecks and equipment failures.
• Clear, direct, and diplomatic verbal and written communication across shift handoffs and engineering teams.
• Ability to manage critical, high-urgency factory excursions while maintaining standards and corporate values.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in substrate, high-density interconnect, assembly, packaging, or silicon process manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience leading or supporting high-volume factory ramps or hardware qualifications.
• 2+ years of direct experience managing people, schedules, and shift logs in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Verifiable training in factory operations systems or factory physics.
