Bilingual Senior Relationship Banker

Location: Onsite position in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States of America.

Salary: $27.59–$45.98 hourly (USD).

What you will do

• Develop new customer relationships and expand and retain existing relationships through proactive outreach, portfolio management, sales activities, and referrals.
• Manage customer assessments, profiling, account opening, appointment preparation, follow-up, and outbound calling activities.
• Evaluate financing requests, recommend loan structures, and submit complete loan application packages.
• Explain consumer, mortgage, HELOC, Business Banking, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services products, including interest expense, amortization, and debt optimization.
• Build relationships with business partners, Centers of Influence, business bankers, mortgage loan originators, and community contacts; attend networking events.
• Maintain compliance and risk controls, including KYC, CIP, fraud prevention, Federal SAFE Act registration requirements, audits, and internal controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and either at least 3 years of proven retail sales, call center, customer service, and/or telesales experience, or at least 2 years of proven proactive sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with exceptional customer service ability.
• Organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge.
• Ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency with internet user-level technology.
• Ability to communicate fluently, verbally and in writing, with bank customers in English and the specified second language; proficiency is determined through an assessment.
• Ability to stand for long periods, use hands and fingers for extended periods, lift objects weighing 5–30 lbs, read fine print, work face-to-face with customers, and use fax, telephone, copier, and other communication tools.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
• Notary public license.
• At least 3 years of financial services sales experience.
• Bilingual capability based on branch needs.
