Management Accountant (Medtech)

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis, variance reviews, commentary files, and quarterly reporting packs.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for two assigned hirify.global entities in line with hirify.global accounting policies, relevant standards, and US GAAP.
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations, post accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and other month-end entries.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support VAT submissions, statutory accounts, audit deliverables, internal and external audits, and SOX compliance activities.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, reporting, and documentation while working with finance, operational teams, auditors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in management accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and analysis and presentation of large datasets.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, quality, organisation, diligence, and the ability to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and able to investigate discrepancies, propose solutions, and drive resolution.
• Strong collaboration skills with local teams, finance colleagues, auditors, and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Nice to have

• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Oracle experience.
• Experience with banking platforms.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• VAT submission experience; training support is available from in-house VAT specialists.
