R&D Engineer/Developer (AWS/Linux)

Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands. Other location: Bangalore.

hirify.global operates a large-scale R&D IT design infrastructure supporting semiconductor research and development, including more than 10,000 servers across seven multi-cloud data centers and high-performance computing clusters for EDA simulations.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements with stakeholders, end users, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, integrate, maintain, and support secure, scalable, high-performance applications and system solutions.
• Build automation for operational efficiency, deployment processes, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Deploy and support applications in Unix/Linux Red Hat and AWS environments, integrating them with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Participate in architecture, technical reviews, technology evaluations, testing, code reviews, QA activities, and root-cause analysis.
• Work in Agile and DevOps activities, maintain technical documentation, provide user guidance, and collaborate with globally distributed teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Perl, PHP, Python, C, and C++.
• Strong understanding and practical application of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
• Strong software development and programming expertise, including designing, building, testing, and supporting enterprise applications and automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux Red Hat environments, including application deployment and operational support.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services, cloud-native development, deployment, and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux command-line tools, shell scripting, and automation practices.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for responsive web applications.
• Good understanding of MySQL database design, development, optimization, and administration.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning fundamentals, and AI agent frameworks for intelligent automation solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, plus experience with stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Written and verbal communication proficiency, a results-oriented mindset, ability to influence non-technical audiences with data insights, ownership, independence, and adaptability.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor design and verification tools, including Calibre and PVS.
• Understanding of semiconductor design, manufacturing, and production processes.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including bridging, synchronization, queuing, and communication protocols.
• Experience with Apache Web Server, application hosting, and server operating system administration.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and production support environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and code review tools.
