Senior Golang Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote in the European Region; hybrid workplace, with fully remote work from almost anywhere and optional offices.

What you will do

• Write robust, scalable, and reusable Golang backend code and develop applications for isolated infrastructure.
• Cover code with unit tests, collaborate with QA engineers, perform code reviews, and help resolve technical problems.
• Participate in requirements and implementation discussions and communicate technical directions and product goals.
• Monitor product stability through alerts, metrics, and observability practices.
• Troubleshoot issues, solve complex algorithmic problems related to fintech, and promote knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Golang as a primary working language and 5+ years of overall development experience.
• Experience with message queues including Kafka, NSQ, NATS, and RabbitMQ.
• Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes, with a good understanding of CI/CD using ArgoCD and GitLab.
• Experience with MySQL or similar databases.
• Experience with software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
• Experience with Scrum and understanding of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Opsgenie.
• Ability to assess technical skills and knowledge through code reviews and peer evaluations.

• Experience training and onboarding engineers.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers through coaching, feedback, and career support.
• Understanding of the crypto industry.
