Network Technician 1- PCC (Networking)

Salary: $28.36–$36.06 per hour

What you will do

• Perform network configuration jobs under the guidance of a Network Engineer.
• Support network staging and project execution across routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and server environments.
• Handle basic Layer 2 and IP configuration tasks.
• Validate that work instruction documents are correct and understandable for Advanced Technology technicians.
• Notify the team leader when configured units are ready for quality assurance.
• Perform other assigned duties and special projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Basic understanding of network and connectivity technologies, including router and switch infrastructures and cabling approaches.
• Systematic advanced reasoning skills, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Resourceful problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
• Excellent written communication skills with an emphasis on customer-centric support.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot with users by phone.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
