Software Engineer (Backend, Python or Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend services.
• Work with product and UX teams to address requests and build generic solutions for customers and stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and test secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available features.
• Review code, provide feedback on best practices, improve readability, and anticipate issues.
• Troubleshoot post-deployment production support issues and develop solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with backend technologies in Python or Java.
• Basic understanding of AWS services.
• Experience with version control tools and processes such as Git and Gitflow.
• Experience with continuous delivery of cloud-based software.
• Ability to own features end to end, from design documents and reviews through acceptance testing and deployment.
• Ability to review code, provide feedback on best practices, improve readability, and anticipate issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot post-deployment production support issues and develop solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
