Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Bellevue, Washington, or San Francisco, California; requires a US Person (US Citizen or Green Card Holder) for FedRAMP projects.

Annual base salary: $165,000–$226,600 for the San Francisco Bay Area or $147,000–$202,000 for California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure and highly available customer-facing production services.
• Improve service reliability through SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop automation, internal platforms, and operational tooling with Go, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
• Strengthen deployment safety and developer velocity through CI/CD, GitOps, self-service platforms, and operational guardrails.
• Improve observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product teams; mentor junior and mid-level engineers and lead projects through production ownership.

Requirements

• Strong experience operating large-scale production services in AWS and/or GCP, with deep Linux and Kubernetes expertise.
• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes networking, storage, scheduling, scaling, workload lifecycle, and distributed data platform issues.
• Extensive experience with Terraform, Helm, infrastructure as code, software engineering in Go and/or Python, and automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, observability, CI/CD, reliability engineering, security, IAM, and secrets management.
• Experience leading incident response and improving customer-facing systems under SLA requirements.
• Must be a US Person: a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, or other regulated and security-sensitive government cloud environments.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, Kubernetes-based microservices, GitOps, ArgoCD, and globally distributed production environments.
• Experience implementing AI-assisted operational tooling and automation workflows.
