Privacy Internship (LegalTech)

Location: Hilversum, Netherlands; hybrid work with work from home up to 2 days per week for 40-hour internships. Available for 5 months starting in February 2027.

Internship allowance: €450 per month gross, plus 8+ holiday days based on 40 hours per week. Travel allowance: up to €23 per day where applicable.

What you will do

• Support privacy compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
• Monitor, analyze, and follow up on privacy requests from departments, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Support automation and AI-first technology solutions to improve LegalTech processes.
• Maintain privacy policies and develop internal data protection guidelines and materials.
• Manage privacy software such as OneTrust, including improving data quality and data flows.
• Collaborate with IT and eCommerce stakeholders, support privacy awareness activities, and learn to implement cookie compliance and automate data subject requests.

Requirements

• Passion for privacy, data protection, and legal technology.
• Currently studying or completing a minor in Law and Technology, Privacy Law, Data Protection Law, Internet Law, GDPR, or a related field.
• In the final semesters of a Master's, Bachelor's, or HBO program and enrolled at a school or university for the full internship duration.
• Fluent English.
• Flexible, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
• Motivation to learn and a dependable, reliable working style.
• For eligibility under Dutch law, be an EU citizen, hold a Family/Partner visa, or be a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands whose internship is mandatory or whose university can sign a Nuffic Agreement.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with a privacy and information technology risk management system such as OneTrust.
• Additional languages.
