Backend Software Engineer (Java/Python)

The #UniProt team at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI is recruiting, and we’re looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join out Data Services & Website team. The roll is full-time, hybrid, 3-year contract term, and involves writing scalable, well-tested code within interdisciplinary teams of engineers, bioinformaticians and scientists.
You will design backend services and APIs for UniProt, contributing to cloud infrastructure, SpringBoot services, Kubernetes deployments and high-availability data delivery. Knowledge of #Java and #Python is required.
