Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work with on-site attendance at least one day per week on average.

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and reliable systems for social media products.
• Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks supporting content libraries, campaign management, scheduling, and publishing workflows.
• Build customer-facing features and backend services, including AI-powered content creation capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve products, systems, and engineering practices, and collaborate with engineering colleagues and partners across the company.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, validating generated output and owning its correctness, security, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Fluency with Java, C++, Python, or a similar programming language; the primary languages are Java and Go.
• Openness to new technologies, new ways of working, and creative solutions.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to critically evaluate technical solutions, including code and recommendations produced by AI tools.
• Experience using, or demonstrated interest in learning, AI-assisted development tools as part of a responsible engineering workflow.
• Sound judgment regarding data privacy, intellectual property, security, and the appropriate use of confidential information when working with AI tools.
