Senior Data Engineer (ClickHouse)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain data models and data products with ClickHouse and dbt for analytics and self-service reporting across Operations.
• Assess and improve existing data models and pipelines, focusing on data quality and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT production pipelines integrating internal and external data sources.
• Establish and enforce standards for data modeling, testing, monitoring, documentation, metadata management, version control, and data quality.
• Build data access, privacy, and governance requirements into data solutions.
• Guide technical decisions and select solutions that balance reliability, scalability, and business value.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with modern data engineering practices, including workflow orchestration, transformation frameworks, analytical databases, and containerized environments.
• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating production-grade data platforms and end-to-end pipelines, typically including 2–5 years of active ownership of existing systems.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, data modeling, and data quality testing, including anomaly detection.
• Experience troubleshooting data issues and working with unclear or changing requirements.
• Commitment to high industry standards for collecting, managing, and transforming raw data into usable information.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functional relationship building, ownership, and knowledge sharing.
• Curiosity, adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work well face-to-face in a dynamic global environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Airflow, dbt, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes.
